FMS is proud to announce that major Jack Mayer’s short film, Philia, has won best LGBTQ film at the Experimental Forum international film and video art festival.
Philia is now slated to be screened via Flickfair, an online film festival which showcases 100+ movies for streaming all throughout the month of August through their website.
Experimental Forum is an international film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from auteur filmmakers and innovative video artists from around the globe.

Philia is an experimental film exploring queer intimacy, implicit violence, and masochism as it pertains to the body and the mind.
This award-winning film was produced in Professor Powers’s course, Theory and Practice of Experimental Film (FMS 465).
