FMS alumna Kelly Minster ('19) one of three playwrights featured at WashU's A. E. Hotchner Playwriting Festival 2019

On September 28, 2019, Washington University will present a world premiere reading of This House, written by FMS alumna Kelly Minster ('19). This script-in-hand reading marks the culmination of the A.E. Hotchner Playwriting Festival. During the festival three aspiring playwrights – with the support of Performing Arts Department actors, faculty directors and guest dramaturg – take part in a two-week workshop to develop their works from the page to the stage.  After each presentation there will be a post-show discussion with the playwright, director and dramaturg in which you, the audience, are an integral part of the process and an ongoing participant in the development of each play.

Admission is Free and Open to the Public.

A stubborn mother and daughter make war as they seek peace in this funny and touching exploration of family politics.  Above the cacophony of their chaotic lives, each proclaims the painful truth, in a pleading battle cry: "I do love you, it’s the like thing I'm still working on!"
